Handprint Footprint Reindeer Shirt

I hope your week has gone well and you are ready for the weekend.  I love Fridays because it means my kids are home and I get to spend time with my husband.  Today is day 10 of my 12 Days of Christmas blogging series.  I am sharing a kid friendly and fun handprint footprint reindeer shirt craft idea.  I did this idea last year instead of getting my kids matching pjs.  The shirts turned out so cute I want to show you how to make your very own handprint footprint reindeer shirt too.

All you Need is A Finger, Hand, and Foot!

Supplies Needed:

  • Plain White T-Shirt
  • Fabric Paint – Brown, Red, White and Black (a little goes a long ways so you can get the smallest bottles – I made seven shirts with small bottles and had paint leftover).
  • Paint brush
  • Paper Plate
  • Baby wipes or a nearby sink with soap and a hand towel

Directions:

  • Lay your shirt on a hard surface with the front facing up.
  • Take a plate and squirt your paint onto it.
  • Have your child sit down and paint the bottom of one foot with brown fabric paint.  You will need another adult to help lift the child while you place the foot onto the t-shirt with the heel facing down.
  • After cleaning up the foot paint both hands also with brown fabric paint and press them on the sides of the painted foot as shown in the photo.
  • Next take red paint and place thumb on the heal of the footprint making the nose.
  • Take white paint and make thumb prints for the eyes and then a little circle for the eye balls.

Let the shirt lay flat somewhere for a few hours and you have a cute footprint handprint reindeer shirt for your kids to wear Christmas morning like my kids did and might do again this year too.
