When I started Inspired Housewife it was to put cute photos and stories of my kids and my son’s medical history and journey on-line. Then Tristan peed the bed and my blog grew quickly over night. I have always loved to share with you my crafts, recipes, DIY cleaning posts and some of my personal inspirations. My tag line for Inspired Housewife has always been DIY Cleaner, Gluten Free Cook, and Creative Mother but over this past year I have done a 180 in my life and while I am still a creative mother I am now all about fitness and I am now an on-line health and fitness coach who helps other to get fit too. I had tried to start a fitness only blog Udderlyfit, but it was just too much to have two blogs. I decided my tag line for Inspired Housewife should now read DIY Cleaner, Gluten Free Cook, and Fit Mommy. It fits who I am and where I want to take my blog over this next year. I am still going to share everything I did before, but now I will share a lot more clean eating recipes, I will review fitness products and programs I use. I will talk about what it means to be a fit mommy and give you tips and tricks to make being healthy easier. Making the change to be more healthy and fit is not easy. I was never the mom who worked out. I hated working out and a few years ago when my husband was working out and training like crazy I hated him for it. I know sad, but true I looked at exercise as the vehicle that stole time away from me. My husband would beg me to join him in getting fit and instead I refused and acted childish. I wish I could go back and not be so selfish, but with everything in life it is a journey.
Healthy and Strong are the New Sexy!
I am excited to share with you posts on eating clean, workout programs that have changed my life, supplements I have taken for my health and fitness. Two summers ago I was really sick and it was getting to the point where my quality of life was not good. I had horrible blotchy skin, bloating, issues with constipation, anxiety attacks, severe depression, the list could go on. I was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder called Hashimotos Thyroiditis which is the immune system attacking my endocrine system and when your body does this it has a domino effect on all other areas of your life.
I won’t go into huge detail in this post about how I went from unhealthy to fit mommy because it would be a book, but what I will share is that each of us has to start somewhere. Each of us has to come to the point in our life where we say enough is enough. We stand up and take the reins on our health because we only have one life and we might as well live it in a way that not only brings us much pleasure and joy, but gives us quality of life too.
Thank you for reading my blog and I hope my new Fit Mommy venture will be something you find helpful as well. You can follow me at my fitness IG HERE: for daily fitness inspiration.
